…. “The Legend of Beaver Dam” is a horror musical short film written, composed and directed by Sable & Batalion, the award-winning musical comedy duo from Montreal most known for their critically acclaimed musical play, “J.O.B. The Hip-Hopera.”

Sable & Batalion (aka Jerome Sable and Eli Batalion) are an emerging filmmaking team, most known for their award-winning work in musical theatre and comedy. Childhood friends and longtime collaborators, Sable & Batalion have been writing, composing, producing and performing together since 1993, and have toured over 20 cities worldwide with their live shows, hailed by the LA Times as “groundbreaking.” Their musical “J.O.B. The Hip-Hopera” was nominated for 4 Ovation Awards here in Los Angeles, and described by Daily Variety as “one of the best shows L.A. has seen in many years.” Most recently, Sable & Batalion won the Coca-Cola Refreshing Filmmaker’s Award. Their winning Coke commercial, written, directed and composed by the duo (and starring Eli) is being screened across the U.S. on 21,000 screens as the pre-feature entertainment at the movies for Fall 2009.
